Early and late binding, The concepts of Information Hiding and access modifiers, Encapsulation and Polymorphism. Constructors and Destructor. Friend functions. Inline functions, Virtual functions. Operator overloading and function overloading. Files and Database connectivity.
By the end of this course the student should be able to: i. Demonstrate an understanding of the principles of OOP ii. Illustrate good object-oriented programming skills iii. Design and develop an object oriented program
This course provides an introduction to Business Intelligence, including the processes, methodologies, infrastructure, and current practices used to transform business data into useful information and support business decision-making and strategy. Business Intelligence requires foundational knowledge in data storage and retrieval, thus this course will review logical data models for both database management systems and data warehouses. Students will learn to extract and manipulate data from these systems and assess security-related issues. Data mining, visualization, and statistical analysis along with reporting options such as management dashboards are addressed.
At the end of the course, the student should be able to demonstrate the following:Develop an understanding of project management, software process models and the ability to select the suitable model to use in software development.Develop an understanding of requirements engineering process and distinguish between different types of requirements.Ability to analyze, design and develop the system models using object oriented methodology(UML) for software development.Ability to prepare the software requirements specification document for a software projectDemonstrate the ability to research a particular topic and develop it for a specific audience and purpose.Implement various quality assurance techniques, including unit testing, functional testing, and automated analysis tools.
